The Las Vegas Raiders, as things currently stand, have probably the deepest wide receiver room when it comes to guys 1-8. When it's time to cut down from 90 to 53, they will have a hard time deciding which guys will be on the roster.

At this moment, I would say only four receivers are locked into a roster spot for the 2023 season. Of course, Davante Adams, the best receiver in the league, is one of them. Hunter Renfrow, who the Raiders are paying a ton, Jakobi Meyers, who the Raiders just gave a big contract to, and Tre Tucker, their third-round pick in 2023, are the other three that should round out the four that are locked in.

That leaves Phillip Dorsett, Deandre Carter, Keelan Cole, Chris Lacy, Cam Sims, D.J. Turner, and Kristian Wilkerson to fill in at least two more spots, maybe four spots.

However, one of those guys has an advantage over the rest.

Raiders WR Phillip Dorsett has chemistry with Jimmy Garoppolo

Dorsett and Garoppolo were teammates with each other on the New England Patriots. Dorsett explained how that has been so far.

"I would say it's been the last few months because when I got there, he was still the backup, and he was doing more on the scout team and stuff like that," Dorsett said to the media. "And I got a chance to go with him a little bit, but he got traded that same year, so I didn't really get a chance to really build a rapport with him.

"But this offseason, I got a chance to be here with him while he was rehabbing and spot throws with him, and then eventually, it got to me running routes for him. It's definitely been great; I'm looking forward to continuing to keep going because we've got a long way to go. But we're going to keep grinding."

If Dorsett makes the roster, which I think he will, considering he also already knows the offense, he will have a connection with Garoppolo, which could end up being something to watch for in 2023.
