The Denver Broncos caught a break, kind of.

Yesterday, in practice, RT Mike McGlinchey had to leave the field with trainers. The newly-acquired RT is looking to make an immediate impact on the team after securing the bag on a massive five-year deal worth $87.5M with over $50M guaranteed.

AtoZ Sports spoke on his injury paired with the injury to WR Brandon Johnson. From initial reports, it looked like the pair might be fine but now we have an update, and it's not great for Week 1.

Mike Klis from 9News reported that Johnson has an ankle sprain and will be expected back in a week or two and McGlinchey had a knee sprain that could put his Week 1 status in doubt.

For Russell Wilson and the Denver Broncos to succeed in the 2023 NFL season, they will need all the help they can get. Unfortunately, the team is already down a few players as Tim Patrick and Jonas Griffith have been lost for the season before it even began.

McGlinchey was brought in to protect Wilson and if he were to miss Week 1, it would be a major storyline across the entire NFL.

Put these players in bubble wrap, and do whatever you can to get everyone at a full bill of health before the season begins. While this could've been a disastrous update, we're just happy it seems like McGlinchey and Johnson can be back with the team in relatively no time.
