Free agent wide receiver DJ Chark, one of the top receivers still available, is reportedly in agreement with the Carolina Panthers on a one-year contract.

Chark, who had 388 receiving yards in the final six games of the 2022 season for the Detroit Lions, would have been a great fit to sign with the Tennessee Titans, who are in desperate need of help in the receiving corps.

Instead, Chark lands in Carolina along with Adam Thielen, Hayden Hurst, and Miles Sanders as new weapons for the Panthers' future quarterback they will select first overall while the Titans remain inactive.

The only wide receivers currently under contract with the Titans are Treylon Burks, Kyle Philips, Nick Westbrook-IKhine, Racey McMath, Mason Kinsey, and Reggie Roberson Jr.

If Tennessee is serious about competing in 2023, this group is not going to cut it. The Titans need playmakers that can create seperation and they cannot simply rely on adding a multiple rookies in the draft that can be immediately impactful.

Treylon Burks needs help, Ryan Tannehill needs help, and Derrick Henry needs a threatening passing game to open up opportunities for him on the ground.

As seen in AtoZ Sports' free agent tracker, Tennessee is quickly running out of options to solve their problems at wide receiver, and the more players that come off the board, the more dire things begin to look for 2023.
