The Houston Texans entered free agency with the third-most salary cap space in the NFL, and they’re putting it to use already.

The Texans signed former Denver Broncos fullback/tight end to a two-year, $6.25 million dollar contract, per KPRC 2 Houston's Aaron Wilson. The deal includes a $1.5 million signing bonus and $4 million in total guarantees.

Here’s how the deal breaks down:

Base salaries:

2023: $1.5M (fully guaranteed)
2024: $2.75M ($1M guaranteed)

Beck is due $250,000 in per-game roster bonuses ($14,706 per game) each year. The deal also includes up to $250,000 in playing time incentives in both '23 and '24.

Beck’s cap hit in 2023 will be roughly $2.5M, allowing the Texans to keep spending freely in free agency.
