Broncos fans are going to love old quote from big free agent signing
This definitely is the cherry on top of the Broncos big signing day.
The Denver Broncos have had one of the worst offensive lines in football for the last seven years. Maybe that's a little dramatic. But, they have had problems up front for about seven years.
It would appear, based on the first day of free agency, that the Broncos have made that a priority, as they should have too. Last season Russell Wilson was sacked more than any other quarterback not named Justin Fields.
One of the bigger signings on the day was Ben Powers, the offensive guard from Oklahoma and previously with the Ravens. He is going to be a monster, and one of his past quotes only backs up that claim.
"Do our job and we go home at the end of the day happy that we dominated the man in front of us," Powers said in college at Oklahoma. "You know, a lot of people ask me what motivates me. What motivates me is I love taking a grown man's dreams and crushing them."
That's some scary stuff, especially for the opposing team's defenders and pass rushers. It seems like he is nothing to play with.
The Broncos need a guy like that, a guy with some edge to him. They need a guy who is going to hold down his side, and you won't have to worry about him.
They have that now. Denver spent a lot of money, but that's what happens when you get guys that find pleasure in crushing other grown men's dreams. I think Denver fans are going to like this guy.
