Sometime during the 2022 season, the Denver Broncos made it known that they would like to explore the idea of a possible logo and uniform rebrand. Of course, they would still keep everything Denver Broncos, but the design of the two would be different.
Fans loved this idea, as Damani Leech, the President of the Denver Broncos, made a survey asking fans if they would like to see something different. And, the survey results said they would indeed like a bit of a change.
Everyone loves when the Broncos wear their throwback orange uniforms with the giant D on them that has the Bronco going through the D. That has been an idea that has been shared – a more modern version of that.
Well, things have been quiet since word dropped about the survey. On Tuesday, during the annual league meetings, Leech gave a bit of an update on the uniform situation.
"Well as you guys have probably learned, I do like to survey, I do like asking questions," Leech said. "I think it's important. I think it's important to know what our fans really think and not get in an echo chamber of just staff making decisions and appreciate the engagement we've gotten from our fans. We continue to research it. We continue to work internally with our creative team and with Nike to explore possibilities for the future. Those of you who do track this around the league, you know, it's a long process. So we're being patient with it and making great progress."
The Broncos switched from the throwback "D" uniforms to the current design in the 1997 season, when the team won its first-ever Super Bowl. Since then, they have won three total, and have had the same design for over 25 years.
With the way the team has performed the last six or seven years, the fans kind of feel like it may be time to change things up a bit. There are a lot of different ideas out there about what we could see when it comes to a new uniform, but nothing is set in stone yet.
