The New York Giants have upgraded their offense in many ways this offseason. Their weapon group for Daniel Jones is much better. Darren Walker joins at tight end, and wide receivers like Jalin Hyatt and Parris Campbell are sure to make an impact for New York. Their offensive line is more stout as well. They need that unit to provide consistency this season in New York.
All of that being said, you could argue that adding a top-flight wide receiver would be smart for the Giants. DeAndre Hopkins recently became available in free agency. The three-time All Pro would make sense for the Giants.
The Giants haven't been connected to him often yet, but one of their biggest rivals is now out of the running. Dallas Cowboys executive Stephen Jones says that their team won't sign Hopkins, according to ProFootballTalk.
The Cowboys have an impressive WR trio in CeeDee Lamb, Brandin Cooks, and Michael Gallup. Their need isn't as large as it is for other teams around the NFL when it comes to Hopkins. Accordingly, the Giants won't have to face Hopkins when they battle with Dallas this season.
