The New York Giants made a smart pick in the third round of this year's NFL draft. They grabbed Tennessee Vols wide receiver Jalin Hyatt. The young wideout may have some flaws in his game, but the value made a lot of sense for the Giants. Hyatt was projected to go somewhere in the second round, but New York got him with the 73rd overall selection.

Hyatt has received some backlash over the past couple of months for his limited route tree and inconsistent route running during his time with the Vols. Legendary NFL wideout and personality Chad "Ochocinco" Johnson responded to the disrespect that has been thrown towards Hyatt as of late.

Hyatt's route running was not his strong suit in college, but he has room to grow. That's how it goes for NFL prospects. Clearly, Ochocinco believes in his potential for the Giants.

New York had to add another WR sometime during day one or day two of the draft, and Hyatt was their choice for a reason.
