The New York Giants have made an intriguing hire. They are adding an experienced football mind to their front office in Ryan Cowden. He will be the executive advisor to the general manager.
Cowden actually worked with Giants GM Joe Schoen in Carolina over two decades ago. He began working in the NFL in 2000. Additionally, he interviewed for the Giants GM job before Schoen was hired. He was the interim GM for the Tennessee Titans last season when Jon Robinson was fired.
Cowden spent seven seasons with the Titans. He was extremely highly-regarded in Tennessee by their front office, but it's a time for transition for the franchise.
Cowden also has previously interviewed for General Manager jobs with the Chiefs, Panthers, Commanders and Steelers. He will probably be a popular name in the 2024 hiring cycle around the NFL.
