While Allen can sometimes have golden retriever energy during practice with his racing teammates, tackling others, and quoting Will Ferrell movies, at the end of the day he means business.
With Dalton Kincaid joining the roster, Buffalo is adding a raw, high-talented receiving threat who can make an immediate impact on gamedays. Despite him being a talented rookie, there is still a substantial learning curve transitioning to the NFL.
While there was no contact, we got an up-close look at the connection between Dalton Kincaid, the Bills' first-round draft pick, and Josh Allen. One moment in particular quickly went viral.
Allen is already teaching Kincaid unforgettable lessons in their first real work together. The franchise quarterback is going to do everything he can, working in tandem with Ken Dorsey and the offensive coaches, to bring out the very best of Kincaid.
The video was taken during voluntary OTAs. These voluntary organized team activities are considered Phase 3 of the offseason. CBS Sports highlighted what happens during this phase of the offseason program, "Teams may conduct a total of 10 days of organized team practice activity, or "OTAs." No live contact is allowed, but 7-on-7, 9-on-7 and 11-on-11 drills are permitted throughout the session."
The current voluntary OTAs for the Buffalo Bills will run from May 22-23, May 25, May 30-June 1, June 5-6, and June 8th. From June 13th – 15th is when the mandatory minicamp will begin and when fans will be able to officially freak out if Stefon Diggs isn't present.
We have a feeling Kincaid is going to make a name for himself quickly throughout the Bills Mafia and across the NFL. The more Josh Allen can pour into the young man in this phase of his development, the better off the team will be when the season begins.
