The Denver Broncos full schedule was just released and we now know when certain matchups will happen, including one that the Broncos star player is ready for.
The Broncos' schedule isn't easy, as they will have a period on their schedule where they will have three straight road games in three different time zones. Then they have to play the Kansas City Chiefs twice in three weeks before the bye, which could also be a good thing, depending on how you look at it.
Another thing that is important to mention is that the Broncos start with two straight home games. So, yes, there are some bad things, but there are also some good things with the Broncos 2023 schedule.
One thing that one Broncos player thinks is good, is the fact they play the Miami Dolphins in Miami this year. In fact, that's Patrick Surtain's one game he is looking forward to the most.
"I'm looking forward to facing Tua [Tagovailoa] because, you know, it's back at home where I'm from, playing Miami," Surtain told Kay Adams. "I'm looking forward to that game. It should be fun, you know, just going back home and playing in front of my family, in front of my hometown, you know, I mean, I'm very excited for it."
There are a few narratives that go along with the Dolphins matchup in 2023. Sure, that's where Surtain is from, but that won't even be the biggest story when these two play each other.
Vic Fangio, the former Broncos head coach, is now the defensive coordinator in Miami under Mike McDaniel. How great would it be to get a win over him, after the years he put Broncos fans through? Obviously, he wasn't bad on purpose, but when he was in Denver is some of the darkest times in franchise history.
And then of course there is the couple of players that play on the Dolphins now and used to play for the Broncos in Bradley Chubb and Mike Boone. Wouldn't it be great to beat those guys too?
The game will be fun and for one of the few times for the Broncos, they will be playing in great weather with the roof open. I'm sure Surtain is excited about all of that too.
