Tennessee Titans offensive lineman Peter Skoronski showed out during Titans rookie minicamp on Saturday and proved why he was one of the first offensive linemen off the board in the 2023 NFL Draft.
Assessing offensive line play is always very difficult before the pads come on, but the 11th overall pick and former Northwestern Wildcat was getting off the ball with some violence on Saturday.
Here's a look at Skoronski taking on two defenders and handing out pancakes in one of his most impressive reps from rookie minicamp.
Skoronski lined up at multiple spots, working at both guard and tackle during minicamp, and seemingly handled both positions well. He got off the line with a lot of quickness and punched with authority.
While Skoronski has not previously played guard during his football career, Titans head coach Mike Vrabel said that the 2023 first-round pick is balancing both positions well. Vrabel said that Skoronski can handle the installation, and that the Titans have confidence in his ability to compete at multiple spots.
"I think that he can handle the installation," said Vrabel. "He's been able to handle more than one position and if we didn't feel like he could handle that, then we wouldn't do it. I wouldn't have a problem working him at either the guard or tackle spot and we'll see where he progresses and see how he looks when everybody else gets here."
It should be fun to watch Skoronski later down the line when the veterans arrive and the pads come on. But for now, watching him knock players over during minicamp is enough to get anyone fired up for Tennessee's new anchor up front.
