Josh Allen is really good at football. Could he be even better at golf? Or basketball?
The franchise quarterback quickly made headlines for what he was able to do on the golf course over the weekend.
Allen was competing in the American Century Championship celebrity golf tournament. The Buffalo Bills quarterback had gone viral after nearly having a hole-in-one.
However, something else happened over the weekend with another quarterback, Patrick Mahomes, that's been flying under the radar. While it was all in good fun, the clip maybe even better than the hole-in-one.
On the 17th hole, there is a basketball hoop setup that looks to be around a half-court shot. Fans toss the ball at golfers to see if they can make the difficult shot. While Allen stepped up, he reportedly asked how Mahomes had done, before making the difficult shot in the first try.
What's more, Allen did it without a running start. Mahomes and Allen are both great sports and while this was all in good fun, it shows the competitive nature outside of football that Allen has toward Mahomes. He wants to win, badly.
Mahomes has gotten the better of Allen in the postseason, cries while thinking of 13 seconds, and while both hit the shot on the first try, it was Allen's chirping and not running before shooting the ball that gives him the victory in our books.
Calling out Mahomes before drilling an insane shot, nearly making a hole-in-one, and placing in a competitive tournament is even further proof of the unicorn that Josh Allen is.
While we'd like to see Allen best Mahomes outside of the regular season on the football field, a half-court shot during a golf tournament will do just fine with us for now.
