With teams around the NFL unveiling the throwback uniforms they will sport during the 2023 season, we finally have our first look at the long awaited Tennessee Oilers jerseys the Titans are expected to wear this fall.
According to the leak on Twitter Thursday morning, the Titans are going with the blue Oilers throwbacks complimented by a Nike patch and the famous "Luv ya Blue!" catchphrase inside the collar.
Which fanbase has the rightful claim to Tennessee/Houston Oilers throwbacks uniforms?
The Tennessee Titans plan to wear Houston Oilers throwback jerseys during a 2023 home game, but which fanbase has a rightful claim on the Oilers brand?
Jim Wyatt of TennesseeTitans.com reported earlier this offseason that the plan was for Tennessee to wear the "light blue jersey from the 'Luv Ya' Blue' era with white britches and an Oilers helmet."
Wyatt has also said in recent weeks that despite earlier suspicion that the Titans would wear the oilers uniforms in Houston against the Texans, that is no longer the plan.
The Titans have teased the jerseys to be revealed later this weekend, at which point we will find out when Tennessee plans to roll out these incredible threads.
