The Denver Broncos have one of the best players under 25 in the NFL.

Sure, you probably guessed who it is. Patrick Surtain is entering his third season and is already a premier cornerback around the league. He is top three at his position, and you could argue him at the top spot between him and New York Jets cornerback Sauce Gardner.

Surtain is only 23 years old and is already top ten on a list of the top 25 players under 25. One CBS Sports analyst has Surtain at 8, one spot below Gardner.

8 Patrick Surtain, Denver Broncos, CB He isn't nearly as flashy as his counterpart below, but Surtain II has been a rock in Denver's secondary since Day 1. His composure is greater than that of most longtime vets, and his 24 pass deflections through two years prove he's feisty at the catch point.

Justin Herbert, Ja'Marr Chase, Micah Parsons, Nick Bosa, Jalen Hurts, and Justin Jefferson also ranked higher. That's a good company to be a part of, especially when Surtain plays a more expendable position at cornerback.

Surtain could still work on some of his game. He tends to get lost in his zones sometimes, but at his age, that happens often. He is widely known as a cornerback that can press well and play man coverage. His style will fit perfectly in Vance Joseph's system. Oh, and he is only improving if I didn't already mention that.

"I think he [Surtain] can improve a lot more," Defensive Backs Coach Christian Parker told media last Wednesday. "I think just based on what God's given him from the physical standpoint, his mental ability, and his mental focus; I think the sky's the limit for him. … As well as he's done these first two years, I think he has a lot more he can get out of himself."

Surely we will see how much he can improve based on 2023. Next year, he may move up on a list like this one.
