The Broncos have a lot of really good players on their team. The roster is alright; there are just some issues within the team. Because they have been so bad the last few years, including a terrible 2022 campaign, some really good players aren't shown as much love as they should.
The offense was bad, but we know about guys like Jerry Jeudy, Greg Dulcich, and some others who were solid in 2022 and underappreciated. Even the defense, which was a top-three unit in the league for most of the year, had some guys not get the love they should have.
Justin Simmons, who didn't make the Pro Bowl but got voted All-Pro, Kareem Jackson, and K'Wuan Williams, didn't get enough love. However, none of those guys are more underappreciated than defensive tackle D.J. Jones, who was voted the Broncos' most underappreciated overall by CBS Sports.
DT D.J. Jones His numbers have never been gaudy, but he's been an above-average interior man for at least four years now, dating back to his days with the 49ers. Removed from the Nick Bosa companionship in 2022, he still starred as a top-flight run stuffer in Denver. With 20 tackles for loss and 10 QB hits in the last three seasons, he's a legit anchor alongside newcomer Zach Allen. – Cody Benjamin, CBS Sports
Besides Dre'Mont Jones, Jones was the best defensive tackle on the team last year. D.J. Jones was a guy who still demanded a lot of attention from the opposing team's offensive line. Jones showed what he could do in San Francisco and brought that over here.
He needs to get talked about more. However, that may change in 2023. Without Dre'Mont, there will be plenty more opportunities to show what he can do, which means more opportunities to get recognized.
Broncos DT Zach Allen makes the top-32 on best interior defenders list
The Denver Broncos may have made the right decision with one of their recent signings, as he ranked pretty highly among the best interior defenders in the NFL
