It appears that DeAndre Hopkins may have just ended the rumors swirling about him joining the Buffalo Bills.
The All-Pro wide receiver was back in the national spotlight after Jeff Darlington's recent segment on the Rich Eisen Show.
During the segment, Darlington opened up about the Bills and Hopkins and what it might look like for both sides to come to an agreement.
"My understanding with the Bills is, yeah, they love DeAndre Hopkins, and he'd be a great addition, but they're not gonna pay him. If he wants to ring chase, there's a spot for him."
While that was a positive for the Bills Mafia and quickly spread like wildfire across social media, Hopkins didn't seem to agree. Almost as quickly as the message went viral, the talented receiver shut down those rumors.
In a simple comment on an Instagram post discussing Darlington's comments, Hopkins used a series of emojis to indicate that the report wasn't accurate.
Hopkins, with just a few keystrokes, broke his silence on the Bills acquiring him, appearing to indicate just how far off both sides are.
Brandon Beane and the front office keep everything close to the chest, Hopkins may be forcing that to change. With Bills training camp about to kick off, there will undoubtedly be questions for the front office on their pursuit of Hopkins.
As of right now, it appears that things aren't good between the two parties. Could this just be Hopkins forcing the Bills' hand in hopes to get a few more dollars? Or is it truly a situation of Buffalo not being open to signing him?
The Bills Mafia are clamoring for Beane to make a splash and bring in the All-Pro to pair with Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs. As of right now, things aren't looking good.
