Brandon Beane has done an excellent job since taking over as general manager for the Buffalo Bills.

He has a knack for surprising fans with splash decisions and below-market deals for star players. Case and point: Von Miller and Matt Milano.

However, this offseason Brandon Beane missed out on re-signing Tremaine Edmunds who wound up getting signed by the Chicago Bears. With Edmunds' departure, there is a gaping hole on the roster, but Buffalo shouldn't look to Devin White to fill that position.

Devin White is a superb linebacker who will undoubtedly "get that bag" from another team in the NFL. White reportedly desired a trade and the rumor mill started swirling on social media. Like any high-profile player, the Bills Mafia was wondering what the team would look like with Devin White. Some fans were clamoring for Beane to make an immediate move to trade for the linebacker.

Now, if White is willing to come to Buffalo on a one-year deal for $3M, sign us up. The price that White will garner may be too rich for Brandon Beane's blood. Now, any team looking to trade for White could make the decision to offer an extension off the rip, allowing a lesser cap hit in 2023, but White to Buffalo doesn't make enough sense.

While Devin White has been exceptional during his time in Tampa Bay, one area is concerning for the superstar linebacker. Outside of the money, White's struggles with tackling are one Buffalo can't afford to deal with. Buffalo struggled mightily with tackling last season and surprisingly if Buffalo were to add White, it would be a step down from the production they saw in terms of tackling from Tremaine Edmunds.

While we don't have a crystal ball, we can't see a world where Brandon Beane makes the decision to bring in White via trade, unless the price is right.

The talented Bills general manager will look to the draft to put the finishing touches on the roster.
