Welcome to the smoke show, NFL fans. The chatter around the NFL draft is in full effect, and a division rival for the Tennessee Titans are at the center of it all.
The Houston Texans own the second overall selection in this year's draft, and every day there is seemingly a new report about what they may do with it.
A month ago, it seemed like a foregone conclusion that Houston would take a new franchise QB in either Bryce Young or C.J. Stroud.
Now, there are a lot more question marks around their pick. Kentucky QB Will Levis is now the quarterback favorite to be selected by the Texans if they do choose a new signal caller.
Alabama edge rusher Will Anderson Jr. is the overall favorite to be the pick right now, according to DraftKings Sportsbook.
Early this week, more reports are swirling around Houston's pick.
NFL insider Lance Zierlein believes that the Texans are actively trying to move out of the number two selection. They want to get a trade done.
That could be the reason for the lack of clarity around which prospect they would target with the premium selection.
Teams that could look to move up to the second pick include the Atlanta Falcons, Las Vegas Raiders, among others.
For the Titans, they wouldn't get a deal done with Houston most likely.
They would want to trade that pick outside of their own division. The Colts would have interest, too, but that isn't happening, either.
The report mill continues to fuel mock drafts across the world.
