Josh Allen and members of the team were available to the media to discuss all things football and the upcoming NFL season.
This is all part of Phase 1 of the offseason plans, as outlined by the NFLPA. Right now, we are currently in the voluntary workout portion. However, with media availability today, it feels like football is back.
After the Bills' devastating loss to the Cincinnati Bengals, the Bills Mafia is happy to get the sour taste out of their mouths. Hearing from the coaches and players on some of the bigger talking points gives the fanbase and the world an inside look at what's been going on.
More specifically, we finally have some answers to one of the biggest controversies surrounding the team: Stefon Diggs.
Diggs isn't at voluntary camp right now and with his exit after the playoff game along with cryptic tweets, the superstar wide reciever was a major talking point throughout the day. Leave it to Josh Allen to dispel any type of rumor that Diggs may be unhappy with their current relationship.
Allen was quick to defend the All-Pro wide reciever and touch on the relationship the two have together, "Stef is gonna Stef. He wants what is best for the team, and he’s one of my favorite people on this planet. He’s the best receiver in this league.” Speaking directly on their relationship, Allen left no doubt "I love that guy."
Passion during a playoff game led some to believe that Diggs would want out of Buffalo, that his frustration was just too much to overcome. Allen, calm and collected, brilliantly shut down the notion that their relationship is anything less than stellar.
There will be more offseason rumors circulating, it's good that this one has finally been put to rest. Josh Allen and Stefon Diggs, despite what some may believe, are on good terms, at least from what the franchise quarterback discussed.
