Former Tennessee Titans running back Darrynton Evans has signed with the team’s biggest rival.
Evans, who was drafted by the Titans in the third round of the 2020 NFL Draft, has signed with the Indianapolis Colts, per ESPN’s Jeremy Fowler.
Evans worked out for the Colts on Friday, which apparently went well enough for the team to ink him to a new deal.
Evans struggled to stay on the field in his two seasons with the Titans. He played in just six games during that time span with injuries to his knee and hamstring hampering his availability.
Unfortunately he was limited to just 16 carries for 61 yards while registering four catches for 38 yards and a touchdown in Tennessee.
In 2022, Evans signed with the Chicago Bears where he played in six games and rushed for 64 yards on 14 carries. He added one reception for 33 yards while also logging snaps on special teams.
Coming out of Appalachian State, Evans was expected to be a difference maker in the return game as well as a pass-catching threat out of the backfield.
Evans joins a crowded Colts backfield with Jonathan Taylor, Zach Moss, Deon Jackson, Jake Funk and Aaron Shampklin all currently on the team’s roster.
