The Denver Broncos are a historic franchise with some historic names. But, this is a business, and no one is guaranteed their spot tomorrow.

For one Broncos player, he is learning that quickly, which is why he plays with a different meaning.

"100%. People forget that Demaryius Thomas got traded and Von Miller got traded out of here," Tim Patrick said on the Cut to It Podcast with Steve Smith Sr. "They are easily probably top five of the greatest Broncos ever and they got traded for some picks… It's truly the 'Not For Long' league."

Patrick said on the podcast that he just wants to have fun when he plays, but because of that very reason. It made him realize after the team traded away Von Miller what is he to them.

It made him realize if they will trade away one of the best players in the history of the franchise, then they will trade away anyone. Now, granted, Miller and Denver decided mutually it was best considering where the two sides were at in their careers at the time, but still.

Now, Tim Patrick is a vital part of the offense. Well, he was supposed to be. We still have yet to see him with Russell Wilson, as he hurt himself, well, tore his ACL during training camp just before the season started.

When he is healthy, he will easily be utilized in a big way. He has the size, speed, route running, and hands to be a guy that can still have around 600 receiving yards and 5 touchdowns on the year. He will easily be a red-zone threat.

So, while he is keeping it real, and making it seem like his time in Denver is always uncertain, he is a guy the Broncos want for next year. They value what he brings to the team, and I think the fans do too. But, he has a point.
