We are officially just days away from the 2023 NFL Draft. In just over 72 hours, all of the speculations will be put to rest and we will know where all of these prospects will be playing in 2023.

The Houston Texans are one of the more interesting teams leading up to the draft. The team has needs up and down the roster and controls the second and 12th picks in the first round.

As we approach draft day, the odds in Vegas have shifted towards the Texans possibly taking a certain elite playmaker.

According to DraftKings Sportsbook, the Texans have the second-best odds to land Bijan Robinson, the talented running back out of Texas. Currently, the Falcons have the best odds at +200 and the Texans are next at +500.

Yes, the Texans have Dameon Pierce who looked promising as a rookie, but Robinson could be a generational talent. Robinson finished the 2022 season with 1,580 rushing yards, 18 rushing touchdowns, and 19 receptions. The former Longhorn averaged a whopping 6.1 yards per rush attempt.

Robinson figures to be a better pass blocker than Pierce and should contribute more in the passing attack than Pierce does. In three years at Texas, Robinson only lost three fumbles. The back runs with aggressiveness but is also able to make swift cuts and locate holes.

With the running back position no longer prioritized the way it once was, it is impressive to even suggest a RB could go in the top 10. While Robinson almost certainly will not be the pick at No. 2, it is not hard to see a scenario in which the Texans take him at No. 12.

Is Robinson worth a mid-first-round pick?
