Football is a sport, but it's a business at the end of the day, and the Dallas Cowboys made some decisions on Monday.
Dallas has cut linebacker Devante Bond. Also, they waived tight end Ian Bunting and cornerback Isaac Taylor-Stuart according to Aaron Wilson of KPRC2 in Houston.
All three players were let go due to failed physical examinations.
Bond signed to the Cowboys practice squad in December 2021 and inked a reserve/future contract a month later. Unfortunately for Bond, he suffered a season-ending knee injury during OTAs last year.
Bunting was signed to the practice squad three months before Bond. He was elevated to the active roster for one game against the Washington Commanders where he logged the only three snaps of his NFL career. He was placed on injured reserve last August.
Taylor-Stuart was an undrafted free agent who was signed by the Cowboys last year out of USC. He ran a 4.42 in the 40-yard dash and a 10'3" in the broad jump before the draft. However, he didn't earn a single snap last season despite having some talent.
