Buffalo's defense will immediately be put to the test. Last year, when taking on the Jets, Buffalo struggled and eventually split the season series with them. Now, the Jets are adding a high-caliber, albeit old, quarterback to the mix in hopes that it'll take them to the next level.
If the Bills Mafia were wondering what the current roster may think of the decision, we wouldn't have to wait long to find out. Bills veteran Jordan Phillips immediately took to Instagram with a viral post about the Jets' new quarterback.
Phillips posted to his Instagram story a hilarious photo of the new Jets quarterback. Rodgers, when facing Phillips during his tenure as an Arizona Cardinal, was hit and nearly had his helmet forced off. Phillips used the viral photo to send a message to Rodgers.
The Bills veteran poked fun at this moment with the caption "I'm glad I get to do this again lol." Previously, Rodgers had commented on the photo saying "The internet is undefeated" immediately after the game took place.
The impressive Buffalo defense will have their work cut out for them within the division next year. The Miami Dolphins took a big step last season and the New York Jets were a quarterback away from really making some noise before signing Rodgers.
For now, Buffalo is still king of the AFC East, but the gap may be closing. Buffalo currently has a pretty big hole at middle linebacker that needs to be filled. With the draft rapidly approaching, let's see what Brandon Beane can add to the roster.
Right now, it appears the Bills' defense isn't too concerned with Rodgers heading to New Jersey. Bills Mafia has made it abundantly clear that they're not afraid either.
