The Texans made two more picks on Friday, the second and third rounds of the 2023 NFL Draft.

General manager Nick Caserio insinuated he could trade into the second round, and that's exactly what he did. Juice Scruggs, the versatile lineman from Penn State, was the selection. In the third round, the team decided to stay local to Houston.

Tank Dell, former Houston Cougar, will not have to travel far to reach his new team.

Shortly after selecting Dell, the official Texans' Twitter account revealed a private message that Dell sent to the team back in December.

"Don't let me leave the city," Dell implored to the Texans.

I think it's safe to say that Dell will have no trouble fitting in with his new team. It is an encouraging sign to see a rookie be so excited to play for this team. It certainly seems like the vibes around the team are changing for the better.

Dell was an absolute weapon for the Houston Cougars, finishing his college career fourth all-time in receptions for the school. The Texans are certainly hoping that Dell can etch his name in their record books as well.
