The Dallas Cowboys are making one thing clear, they wanted to address the trenches in the 2023 NFL Draft. 

After multiple picks on the defensive side, the Cowboys took offensive lineman Asim Richards out of North Carolina in the fifth round.

Richards got the majority of his work at left tackle in college logging 2,449 snaps there. However, he also played 49 snaps at left guard, which is where he'll compete for the Cowboys along with getting snaps at tackle. Richards added 21 plays at right tackle for the Tar Heels as well.

Richards was a three-year starter at North Carolina. He only allowed 70 pressures and 45 hurries 1,445 pass-blocking snaps. In 2022, he gave up just three pressures and no sacks.
