The Denver Broncos were supposed to have one of the better-receiving corps in the league last year, but unfortunately, that didn't end up happening at all.

So many things went wrong for the Broncos last season, including the offense doing the complete opposite. The coaching was terrible, the offensive scheme was poor, and the quarterback play didn't make fans feel any better.

But, Tim Patrick, one of the better receivers on the team, getting hurt in the offseason didn't help either.

During training camp, Patrick went up for a ball Wilson threw to him and came down on his leg badly, which resulted in a torn ACL. He went from two straight seasons with at least 700 receiving yards and five receiving touchdowns, to not playing the entire 2022 season.

Going undrafted helped him though, as it built a mentality that has helped him get to where he is. He still has that mentality, even after the injury.

"[Defensive backs], I just don’t view them as somebody that can guard me," Tim Patrick said on the Cut To It Podcast with Steve Smith Sr. "I can’t really say anything nice about them… I’m just doing repetition to get myself ready to play in a game.”

He is already showing the mentality that teams love to have in a player, and it will only make him work harder to get back. His mentality that he feels other guys can't guard him, even after dealing with a series injury as he has, says that he feels he can still get better than he was.

If the Broncos can get him back at an even better level than Patrick was before, and I fully believe that he can, their receiver room will be good again. They will have given Wilson enough weapons, along with the offensive line additions that they have no excuse but to be better.
