If there is one position on the Broncos offensive line they need to invest in, it is center.

With a majority of their offensive line, tied up in contracts until 2026, Cushenberry has the only deal (out of the starters) that expires following 2023.

He was also the worst of Denver's offensive line per PFF.

We all know Denver is limited with draft capital following the Russell Wilson trade, but this draft is deep enough for them to add talent.

How about at center? Is there a player that fits what the Broncos look for and could be available in the third round?

Luckily there is, let's talk about Ohio State center, Luke Wypler.

As we discussed in the previous article, the Broncos have a tendency to draft players who scored highly in RAS. Wypler was good, not great here scoring a 8.52.

Wypler is a capable pass protector, who establishes leverage quickly and effectively. He has a good anchor and is flexible in the hips. His best ability is his movement ability. He is able to get out of his stance quickly and can reach the second level with ease.

His main areas for concern is his balance, as he ends up on the ground a fair amount, his power leaves more to be desired, and he doesn't posses any advanced pass set maneuvers such as a snatch trap.

Where the Broncos are picking they're not going to get a flawless prospect, it is about picking and choosing which issues they feel they can fix with a prospect.

The Broncos have back to back picks in the third round, Wypler could very well be a target if they are interested in moving on from Cushenberry; who has less than a $500,00 dead cap hit if they decide to move on from him.
