The Jacksonville Jaguars were slated to pick 24th overall in the 2023 NFL Draft until they decided to trade back to 25th only to end up… trading back again! Ultimately, they made their pick at 27th overall and grabbed OT Anton Harrison, who they feel very comfortable with.

But as you might've assumed after a couple of steps back in the Draft order, the team's draft capital had to improve following the two trades. In fact, the Jaguars can be called big winners from Thursday night just off the trades alone.

All in all, the Jags gained three additional Day 3 draft picks following their couple of transactions. Here's how both trades break down.

First, the Jaguars traded with the New York Giants, which looked like this:

  • Jaguars received: 25th pick (1st round), 160th pick (5th round), 240th pick (7th round)
  • Giants received: 24th pick (1st round)

Later in the Draft, after having had a little bit of fun, the Jags doubled down. This time, their trading partner was the Buffalo Bills and the team ended up moving back a couple of spots. Here's how the deal broke down:

  • Jaguars received: 27th pick (1st round), 130th pick (4th round)
  • Bills received: 25th pick (1st round)

After those two moves, the Jaguars have a unique opportunity to add 11 new players to the team barring any more trades. After a particularly quiet free agency period, the team stands to benefit a lot from a few extra darts to throw to the board. Particularly interesting is the fact that the team has three fourth-round draft picks. It should be a big round for the team on Saturday.

  • Round 1, No. 27 overall: OT Anton Harrison, Oklahoma
  • Round 2, No. 56 overall
  • Round 3, No. 88 overall
  • Round 4, No. 121 overall
  • Round 4, No. 127 overall
  • Round 4, No. 130 overall
  • Round 5, No. 160 overall
  • Round 5, No. 185 overall
  • Round 6 No. 202 overall
  • Round 6, No. 208 overall
  • Round 7, No. 226 overall
  • Round 7, No. 240 overall
