Sunday’s Wild Card Round matchup against the Buffalo Bills just got tougher after the latest news out of Miami.
On Wednesday, Dolphins head coach Mike McDaniel announced that quarterback Tua Tagovailoa (concussion) will not be suiting up this weekend. McDaniel revealed that Tagovailoa is still in the concussion protocol.
McDaniel continued, saying that the team is preparing as if Skylar Thompson will get the starting nod. Thompson, who was drafted in the sixth round in April, started in Miami’s Week 18 win over the New York Jets.
Back-up quarterback is still dealing with a dislocated pinkie finger on his throwing hand. However, McDaniel says that Bridgewater is preparing himself for Sunday’s game as Thompson’s back-up.
The other option for Miami would come in the form of veteran journeyman Mike Glennon. The Dolphins signed Glennon to their practice squad last Wednesday.
