Pro Football Focus revealed its list of the most improved player on each NFL team from the 2022 season. The Buffalo Bills player that showed the most improvement according to PFF is guaranteed to surprise Bills Mafia.
Pro Football Focus named ILB Tremaine Edmunds as its most improved Bill in 2022. Here is PFF's excerpt on Edmunds:
“Like Patrick Queen with the Ravens, Edmunds displayed some big-time flashes over the first four years of his career, but a lack of consistency hurt his PFF grade. He eliminated a lot of the negatives in his play to deliver a phenomenal 2022 season in coverage where his 90.0 PFF coverage grade led all players at the position.”

Despite playing in only 13 games, Edmunds led the Bills in tackles with 102 for the fourth season in his five years in Buffalo. He is a certified tackling machine and will likely be paid like one in free agency, whether that money comes from the Bills or some other team.
Edmunds graded out as an 81.2 in 2022 per PFF. It was a vast improvement from his 48.5 mark just a season ago.
He is one of the trickiest decisions general manager Brandon Beane will have to make this offseason. His market value projects to $20 million per season, per Spotrac. While there is no question that he improves Buffalo’s defense, the price might be a bit out of the budget for the cap-strapped Bills.
