The potential fallout from the Cincinnati Bengals’ AFC Championship Game loss to the Kansas City Chiefs is beginning to mount.

While the Bengals are licking their wounds from one of the franchise’s most difficult losses, there is an NFC team that could be out to amplify the sting of defeat.

Peter Schrager, host of NFL Network’s Good Morning Football, reports that the Arizona Cardinals have submitted a request to interview Bengals defensive coordinator Lou Anarumo for its vacant head coaching job.

Unfortunately, it doesn’t stop there. The Cardinals have also requested an interview with Bengals offensive coordinator Brian Callahan, per NFL Network’s Tom Pelissero. Callahan also met with the Indianapolis Colts about their head coaching position on January 20.

After watching the Bengals’ meteoric rise over the last two seasons it’s no surprise that teams want to employ similar strategies. The first step to performing a turnaround like the one Cincinnati has able to pull off is to hire the people in charge of the change.
