Broncos, Payton

The Denver Broncos needed their new head coach, badly. Hackett was a great guy, who always brought a smile to the media room, and was loved by the players, but he wasn't the guy, which is okay. That happens.

They did, however, get their guy. Sean Payton is now the head coach of the Denver Broncos, and we can thank one current Broncos player for that. Well, partly.

Latavius Murray, the Broncos' current starting running back, well, that's how he ended the year, is a former player of Payton's. The two worked together in New Orleans and now will work together in Denver.

But what we also figured out is that Murray contacted Payton, and asked him to help the team. Sean Payton responded to the call in the best way possible.

“Be careful what you’re asking Santa for.”

The two will carry their relationship over into the 2023 season, and I think we will see some fireworks on that side of the ball. The Broncos have something coming for next year.

I guess in a way, we can thank Murray, the guy who got signed to the Broncos in the middle of the season and brought the best possible coach to the Rockies.

Now, let's hope it all works out this time.
