The Miami Dolphins are going to have to turn to one of its most-hated rivals for help in the final week of the regular season.

Unfortunately, the Dolphins’ five-game losing streak has left the team in need of some help to secure one of the AFC’s final wildcard spots. In order to make the playoffs, the Dolphins need to win against the New York Jets AND have the Buffalo Bills defeat the New England Patriots.

That’s right, Dolphins fans will be pulling for the Bills in Week 18. As uncomfortable as that might sound, Miami is looking to sneak into the postseason by any means necessary.

There will be plenty of scoreboard watching on Sunday, but the Dolphins must focus on the task at hand. And that is to beat the Jets without starting quarterback Tua Tagovailoa.

Though Tagovailoa is likely to miss the regular season finale, Fox’s Jay Glazer reports that he will push to play if the Dolphins find a way into the playoffs.

It’s going to feel wrong to side with Bills Mafia, but its only for one day. Plus, there is still some unfinished business after the two teams split their season series. Perhaps a third matchup lies ahead, but first fans must put their pride aside for one final playoff push.
