The Kansas City Chiefs are in an AFC Championship showdown versus the Cincinnati Bengals.

On the Bengals' first drive, the Chiefs suffered an important injury on their defense.

KC cornerback L'Jarius Sneed took a big hit from Bengals running back Samaje Perine while attempting to make a tackle. He was noticeably shaken up.

It is unknown whether or not he will be able to return. Sneed was able to walk to the medical tent after sustaining the injury.

According to reports, Sneed is being evaluated for a head injury.

Sneed is the top cornerback for the Chiefs. He has been a massive bright spot for their secondary this season.

The secondary outside of Sneed is quite young. Many of them have never played in a game of this magnitude.

There will be plenty of pressure on them now. Luckily, the Chiefs' defensive line is a very special unit.

Cornerback Joshua Williams slotted into the lineup when Sneed left the game. If he is forced to miss more time, expect Williams to continue getting more snaps for the Chiefs.

The situation is a very important one for Kansas City in this game and beyond.
