As if the Miami Dolphins didn’t have enough injury issues to worry about, there is reason to believe the team be without another key cog on offense for Sunday's Wild Card Round against the Buffalo Bills.

On Monday, head coach Mike McDaniel addressed reporter, giving updates on those with bumps and bruises. Unfortunately, running back Raheem Mostert was one of the players McDaniel mentioned who is dealing with an injury.

McDaniel revealed that Mostert has a significant break in his thumb after helping will Miami to victory over the New York Jets in Week 18. Mostert handled 11 carries for 71 yards in the win.

“It’s a serious injury,” McDaniel noted. “It’s hard to know if he’ll be able to play this week. I never put anything past Raheem Mostert.”

Mostert was instrumental in the Dolphins’ Week 15 loss on the road in Buffalo. He racked up 136 yards on 17 carries, adding one reception that went for 20 yards.

The Dolphins will learn more as the week moves along, but Mostert’s injury is expected to require surgery this offseason. There aren’t enough fingers in all of Miami to cross with all of the injuries the Dolphins will be monitoring leading up to Sunday’s game.
