The Miami Dolphins are back in the playoffs for the first time since 2016.

The Dolphins clinched postseason berth with a win over the New York Jets and a New England Patriots loss to the Buffalo Bills.

Sunday’s 11-6 victory never looked pretty, but at this point in the season it’s all about surviving and advancing. That’s exactly what Miami did behind its third-string quarterback in Skylar Thompson.

The Dolphins’ roster isn’t rich in playoff experience, but one newcomer plans to help mold the team’s mentality for its Wild Card showdown against the Bills.

That player is Tyreek Hill.

For the seventh time in as many seasons, Hill will be a featured piece of a playoff team. Hill has 12 games of playoff experience with two trips to the Super Bowl under in his belt.

Following the game, Hill explained what it will take from the Dolphins in order to keep the season alive.

“Everything counts right now,” Hill told reporters at his locker. “Right now, we’re in a single-game elimination. Guys gotta bring their A-Game.”

“I know it’s our time now," Hill continued. "I’m gonna lay it all out there for my brothers because I know they’re gonna do the same for me.”

With Sunday’s win the Dolphins snapped a five-game skid, heading into the postseason on a positive note. Like Hill said, everybody has to be firing on all cylinders in order to roll into Buffalo and sneak out with a win.
