Former Tennessee Titans wide receiver A.J. Brown is speaking out to share some of the untold details behind the trade that sent him to the Philadelphia Eagles last offseason, and Brown's side of the story will be hard for Titans fans to hear.

For the last 10 months, the NFL world, specifically Titans fans, have looked at the A.J. Brown trade and asked themselves "how did we get here?" The star wide receiver that seemed due for a longterm contract extension somehow made his way onto another team's roster, where he would later have a career-best season and play for a Super Bowl.

There has been much drama and speculation about exactly what went down between Brown and the Titans, and the new details shared by Brown fill in many of the unanswered questions that have been floated around.

Brown appeared on The Raw Room Podcast, hosted by Daren Bates and Jalen Collins, to spill the tea on his version of events that led to being dealt on draft day of 2022.

According to Brown, the story begins with him talking to Eagles QB Jalen Hurts at his daughter's birthday party just days before the 2022 NFL Draft. The two friends joked together about potentially playing together, with Hurts claiming he would "try to get Howie (Roseman) to trade for Brown."

At the time, Brown didn't think much of it. In fact, he didn't seem to think it was a serious possibility until April 28th, the day of the 2022 NFL Draft. When Brown woke up the morning of the draft, he got a phone call from Hurts, who wanted to confirm Brown was serious about wanting to play in Philly and told him that Eagles' GM Howie Roseman was seriously considering the move.

Brown confirmed that if things didn't work out with signing an extension with the Titans, he would be open to an opportunity with the Eagles. To this point, he had maintained to all parties involved that he wanted to be a Titan.

Later that day, Brown's agent, Tory Dandy, called him with the news that the Titans were on board to trade him to the Eagles.

"He told me they're on board, so I go workout. I'm pissed off," Brown said on the podcast. "I'm like 'that ain't what I was hearing. That aint' what y'all been telling me'. So, that's when my feelings got involved. I can say that now because I've matured through the whole thing."

Dandy then proceeded to negotiate with the Eagles on a potential contract extension before Philadelphia would pull the trigger on the trade. As the first round of the draft was playing out, and the Eagles' second pick of the night was coming up, Dandy approached him with the numbers on the contract extension, asking him what he wanted to do.

"I want to be in Tennessee," Brown told his agent, who then hit Brown with the hard truth about the situation. "A.J., Tennessee is not moving. They're not even budging. You told me to do a job, I did the job, it's in front of you. You'd be a fool not to take this," Dandy told Brown.

It was then that Brown approved the deal, and the trade was made. Immediately after hanging up the phone with Dandy, reality began to sink in.

"I immediately got off the phone and I'm crying my eyes out," Brown shared. "I'm hurt. I'm more hurt than anything. I ended up calling Logan (Woodside) and calling (Ryan) Tannehill."

"I'm having strong feelings about Tennessee because that ain't what I was told. You all in the media saying you ain't gonna trade me. You talking to me behind closed doors and all this other stuff like "you not going nowhere" from (Mike Vrabel) and Jon Robinson. The whole process they were offering me like 16 (million), like…don't disrespect me," said Brown.

Brown would go on to record 88 catches, 1,496 receiving yards, and 11 touchdowns in his first season an Eagle. By far the most productive season of his NFL career, and a season that resulted in an NFC Championship and trip to the Super Bowl.

Meanwhile, Robinson was fired by the Titans in December, the team's leading receiver had 527 receiving yards, and Tennessee lost their last seven games on the way to a 7-10 finish.

Safe to say Brown got the least laugh.
