Whenever you have a new head coach join the team, he tends to not bring back some of the coaches on the former coaching staff, because, why would he? Sure, sometimes some of them get to stay, but it's usually the guys on down the totem pole.

On Wednesday we learned that one guy on the Broncos coaching staff from last season won't be staying. But, we also learned that it wasn't Sean Payton's choice.

Ben Steele, who was actually a vital part of the Broncos' late-season surge, ended up becoming the tight ends coach in Arizona for the Cardinals.

Steele was originally the assistant offensive line coach in Denver, but after Butch Barry was fired, he took over those duties. He did fairly well too.

He won't be re-joining the Broncos though, as his job late last season ended up getting him a better job.

Honestly, we don't know if Payton would have brought him back or not, but, he hadn't let him go yet like he had some of the other coaches from the former regime.

Either way, Sean Payton will be looking for an offensive line coach soon. Hopefully, he finds one better than Butch Barry.
