The Denver Broncos haven't had the season that they expected this season. That being said, they've had some fantastic performances by some players this season.
In particular, cornerback Patrick Surtain II has been one of the best players in football at his position. He's been a ball hawk and elite defensive back for the Broncos.
He is a cornerstone for their defense for years to come.
On offense, Dalton Risner has dealt with injuries, but his impact has been undeniable. He is a leader for the Broncos, and his teammates absolutely love him.
Accordingly, these two guys have earned honors from the team that they will remember forever.
For Surtain, the Demaryius Thomas Team MVP Award couldn't be any more spot on. He was their most valuable player this year for the Broncos, regardless of position.
Even at a young age, he is the leader of the defense. It was a unit that has been one of the best in the NFL all year long.
On the flip-side, Risner won the 2022 Darrent Williams Good Guy Award.
His passion on and off the field is quite clear. His teammates and coaches love it. Risner is also extremely involved in the community. Overall, you couldn't ask for a better piece on the offensive line than him for so many reasons.
The Broncos will look to build on these two players, among others, to bounce back next season.
