The NFL Players Association surveyed 1,300 NFL players to figure out which teams are the best and worst to play for.

According to this survey, the Titans received an overall grade of a B+, making them the 18th-best team to play for in the NFL.

This survey had eight key categories that determined each team's rank. Here is how the Titans ranked in each category:

Breakdown of Key Cateogries

One thing that may stand out to Titans fans is that their two highest-ranked categories were strength coach and training staff. This is surprising, as the Titans are coming off two straight years where they were one of the most injured teams in the NFL.

On the other hand, the players seemed to dislike the way the team handled travel. These were some of the things said when asked about team travel:

  • 66% of players feel like they have enough room to spread out
  • One of six teams that make young players have roommates
  • One of seven teams that do not offer players first-class seats

While players were upset about team travel, the overwhelming majority believed that owner Amy Adams was willing to make the necessary changes:

“91% of players feel that Titans owner Amy Adams Strunk is willing to invest money into upgrading their facilities.”

In addition, Mike Vabrel was listed as one of the best coaches to play for and is one of the higher-ranked coaches in the league.

The praise of Amy Adams and Mike Vabrel shows that while the Titans may have their issues, the leadership is very strong at the top.

With those two leading the show for the foreseeable future, there is no reason to think the Titans can't continue to shoot up these rankings and continue their success on the field.
