Why Quinnen Williams is a HUGE MISMATCH on the interior: New York Jets Film Breakdown
In this film breakdown, we take a look at New York Jets DT Quinnen Williams. Williams is in his 4th NFL season, after being drafted #3 overall by the Jets in 2019.
His first 3 years were underwhelming, but this season, he's emerged as a dominant interior force, playing very well against the run, and also showing outstanding pass rush ability for the first time. He is quick and violent at the line of scrimmage, and is often too much for an interior OL to handle.

Williams finally broke out in 2022 with the Jets, amassing 12 sacks, 55 total tackles, 28 QB hits, 2 forced fumbles, and 1 fumble recovery. This strong season led him to being named First Team All-Pro and also a Pro Bowler.
This was the season that Quinnen Williams needed, after struggling for his first few years in the league. Now, the Jets will need to decide whether to pick up his 5th-year option, as he's slated to become a free agent after the 2023 season. He is due $9.56 million in 2023.
