Long-time Tennessee Titans defensive back and current NFL Network analyst Jason McCourty will be announcing the Titans' third-round pick from the draft stage in Kansas City on Friday.
McCourty announced the news earlier this week on Good Morning Football, the daily morning show on NFL Network which McCourty hosts alongside Jamie Erdahl, Kyle Brandt, Peter Schrager, and Will Selva.
Brandt, who announced a Buffalo Bills' selection during the 2022 NFL Draft, had some advice for McCourty for taking the stage and representing the Titans' organization.
Guest presenters, especially those that are former players, have a history of putting on a show during during their pick announcements.
In 2018, long-time Eagles placekicker David Akers took the stage in Dallas and let Cowboys fans hear it. "Hey Dallas, the last time you were in a Super bowl, these draft picks weren't born," Akers chirped before announcing Philadelphia's selection of Dallas Goedert.
As Tennessee fans remember well, Pat McAfee made headlines during the 2019 NFL Draft when he took the stage in Nashville representing the Indianapolis Colts and threw shade at the division rival Titans.
After leaving the Titans, McCourty was a member of the 2018 New England Patriots, who won Super Bowl LIII after defeating the Kansas City Chiefs in the AFC Championship Game. That could be some good fuel to use against the hometown crowd in KC.
