The Denver Broncos' best player on offense just received some of the best news he can get this time of year.
Per the NFL.com website, May 1 is the deadline for football clubs to exercise fifth-year option for players selected in the first round of the 2020 Draft. So, Monday and Tuesday will be a busy day for the players who are looking for that option to be picked up, or even dropped.
The Broncos have one guy that got his picked up, making it nothing but great news for him on Monday.
The Broncos star receiver Jerry Jeudy got his fifth-year option picked up by the team in what is really a no-brainer move. The Broncos best receiver and best offensive player last year will be back for a fifth-year in orange and blue.
Jeudy ended last year just barely under 1,000 receiving yards, which is still impressive because of how bad the offense was last year. In the worst offense in the league, Jeudy was able to finish with 972 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 67 catches, all of which were career numbers.
We have seen Jeudy grow over the years into the player that he was hyped up to be, and he will only get better. This news is great for hi and it's honestly great for the Broncos too.
