Damar Hamlin, the Buffalo Bills safety, is doing everything he can to get back on the football field. Hamlin had suffered a reported cardiac arrest during a contest with the Cincinnati Bengals in which he needed to be resuscitated on the football field.

Since his traumatic injury, Hamlin has been thrust into the national spotlight with each and every update. From face-timing his teammates to surprising fans by going to the stadium, teaming up with various organizations to spread awareness on CPR, and winning awards for his courage and work outside of football.

Put plainly, Damar Hamlin has been an inspiration. The safety is on the road to recovery in hopes to suit up on gamedays this upcoming season. In fact, Hamlin was recently cleared by doctors to return to football activities.

Now, Hamlin has gone viral for a simple photo. Hamlin was spotted with Cincinnati Bengals receivers Tyler Boyd and Ja'Marr Chase just five months after his on-field collapse.

Hamlin isn't taking anything for granted and is enjoying every opportunity life is giving him. The safety was celebrating his summer before football activities kick off over the next few weeks and months.

Even a simple photo like this defies the odds. Hamlin died on the football field. Just a few months later he's able to enjoy some offroading with other NFL players before gearing up for an extensive program to get him back into football shape. Others would have most likely walked away from the game forever, not Hamlin. The Buffalo Bills safety decided to fight and battle and commit to returning to the game that nearly took his life. Hamlin continues to defy the odds in that he's not trying to just live a normal life after collapsing and dying on the football field, he's working to get back to arguably the most competitive sports league in the entire world.

While not working on getting back to the league, Hamlin is using his platform for good, to inspire change. It's little victories like being able to enjoy time with his friends that remind him how precious life can be.

We have a feeling Hamlin is going to continue to do incredible things outside of the game of football. Bills Mafia is beyond excited to see Hamlin back on the field once again. The fanbase and the entire world are hoping that it's sooner rather than later.
