The Denver Broncos' future Hall of Famer had some more than kind words recently when talking about the 2023 team.
The Broncos are gearing up to try and turn around the franchise, as they have been in the dark for far too long. It's time for some winning football, which they couldn't do last season with Russell Wilson and rookie head coach Nathaniel Hackett.
Now they have Sean Payton, which is amazing. However, now former Broncos players are calling this team a "super team," which is just flat-out wrong. Future Hall of Famer Von Miller still has love for his former team as he gave them that compliment during one of his Colorado foundations he still has.
"It's great. It's always a pleasure coming back to Denver, coming back to Colorado, I spent 11.5 years here," Miller said. "Had both of my Children here, won a Super Bowl here, played another Super Bowl here. It really helped me become who I am today. But all these guys, they don't have to come to do this. You know, I've been an ex-Bronco for two years now for those guys to still be connected to me and for me to be connected to them.
"It really, it really makes me feel at peace, all the things that we did in the locker room, all the work that we put in, all the blood, sweat, and tears that we put in to create the team that they have now and they have a Super team and I'm excited about it. I'm excited about Russell Wilson and Sean Payton and all these guys."
Maybe Miller missed all of last season when it comes to watching the Broncos. I mean, they were awful last year, one of the worst teams in the league. They had the fifth-worst record, and they had the worst offense in the league. They aren't anywhere near a team that is ready to compete in the playoffs, let alone a team that is a "super team."
But, Von Miller is just being nice, as we all know him to be. He is an all-time great within the franchise and it seems he is always talking about the Broncos. I'm sure there will be a day when he ends up coming back to play in the orange and blue.
