Detroit Lions quarterback Jared Goff is coming off the best season of his career and is on the verge of a possible extension from the Lions. This is a time when you'd maybe expect a quarterback to be comfortable with where they're at. But Goff is instead putting in more work.
Goff worked with 3DQB in Huntington Beach, California this week. 3DQB is a quarterback training service that's worked with some of the best quarterbacks in the league. Tom Brady, Drew Brees, Dak Prescott, Matthew Stafford and Lamar Jackson are few of the NFL QB's that have worked with this service. Goff is now on that list too.
Goff working with a guru ahead of camp can not just help him shake off any rust, but it can also help him work on the little things of his game. There's parts of Goff's game that can use some work and he's out there getting it.
It's a good thing to see for the Lions. There was a time when Matthew Stafford was asked if he'd see a quarterback guru and he wasn't going for it at that time. Once he did, his game began to improve. This stuff is invaluable.
An interesting thing to note is that on Monday there was video of Amon-Ra St. Brown catching a pass from Goff who threw the ball with his eyes closed. It looks liek it was at the same location as this. So St. Brown is also there helping out.
