The Kansas City Chiefs have several players land on the NFL Top 100 list, but let's just say they like being closer to the top 10 than most.
Three Chiefs players landed in the top 10 of the list that the players voted on; No. 1: Patrick Mahomes, No. 5: Travis Kelce, and No. 10: Chris Jones. When the players are told where they are at, the camera crew that's interviewing the players usually catches their reaction, and Chris Jones' was everything.
In the interview, Jones thought he was in the top five and asked if he was several times. He could only be told that he was definitely in the top 10.
Jones, who kept asking, finally said, "Let me know if I'm top five; I will hit a chair over my head right now, knock myself out."
When the producer responded with the same statement he had the previous two times, all Jones could say was, "I'm not top five. Goddangit."
The thing is, he really believes he is a top-five player in this league, and you could make a case that he played that well last year. Jones is a beast on the field, and that can't be argued.
One of the more interesting things is that Jerick Mckinnon, the Chiefs running back, commented under a Chiefs post, "Yup gotta pay the man."
I think we all agree.
