The New Orleans Saints will be without running back Alvin Kamara for the first three games of the season, and Kendre Miller is currently dealing with a knee sprain.

New Orleans is sitting on their hands, though. On Monday, they signed Darrel Williams, who won a Super Bowl with the Kansas City Chiefs in 2019, per Nick Underhill of NewsOrleans.Football.

Williams was born and raised in Marrero, Louisiana, which is about 20 minutes outside of New Orleans. He went to John Erhet High School, where he ran for 2,036 yards and 27 touchdowns during his senior year.

The former undrafted free agent would go on to play at LSU, where he ran for 1,651 yards and scored 19 rushing touchdowns in four years. Also, Williams amassed 462 yards on 38 receptions.

Williams has only registered 1,014 rushing yards since entering the NFL. However, he's racked up 87 receptions for 771 yards as well, making him a good option on third downs.
